Role: Windows Administrator Location: Richardson, TX Duration: 6-9 months Rate: $42/hr Windows Sys Admin - working M-F Night shift - 8:00PM to 4:00AM 1. Monitors all server hardware/software equipment ensuring availability and plan resolutions/repairs accordingly. 2. Deploy and manage new server systems. 3. Maintain system documentation, such as inventory records, systems and operations logs, and documentations involving procedural tasks. 4. Ensure systems are backed up regularly, monitor backups and manage any issues arising from backup failures. 5. Contacts and interacts with vendors to acquire and implement software upgrades and equipment maintenance. 6. Assist in planning out new projects as well as implementation. 7. Conduct general training sessions to others ensuring cross-trained employees. 8. Provide support to end-users when necessary such as Blackberry users. 9. Responds to requests for technical assistance from tech coordinators or information, referring requests to supervisors or other technical staff as needed. Must have: 1. Working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Exchange 2003, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP. 2. Experience with deploying and managing SQL Clusters. 3. Experience with deploying and managing SharePoint 4. Understanding of Storage technologies and network protocols i.e. san, nas, iscsi fiber. 5. Knowledge of Symantec products, Symantec Endpoint protection, Symantec Corp. Edition 6. Working knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise 4.x 6. Working knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise 4.x 7.
