Please let me know if you have any consultant's for this Need ETL consultant's for two different requirements Location - Charlotte, N.C Rate - Best in the market Client - TIAA –CREF Duration – 12+ Months THIS IS REMOTE WORK Primary Skills: Oracle SQL Data Access # of Years Required: 4-6 Secondary Skills: Cobol JCL # of Years Required: 0-2 Job Purpose/ Description: • Develops using the database Structured Query Language (SQL) and its various extensions. • Examples of current SQL-based databases are Oracle, DB2, Sybase, and Microsoft SQL Server. • Leverages a solid grasp of database design techniques when developing. • Strong ability to work with the business community to gather and analyze business requirements and create technical / functional specifications; performs the development and implementation of these specifications into code. • Leads complex / major efforts regarding the design, development, and testing of computer programs and/or application components. • Serves as subject matter expert (SME) in assigned area. • Resolves complex application and technical problems. • May serve as departmental liaison to interdepartmental or interdivisional project initiatives. • Analyzes complex performance and capacity issues with systems / applications software and/or application components. • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies. • Provides mentoring and training to more junior staff. • Handles complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes. • Leads evaluations of systems / applications software technologies. • May lead project teams. • Strong ability to work collaboratively with IT staff on development, troubleshooting, and other technical efforts. Tasks and Responsibilities: • Strong knowledge of business requirements and processes to be leveraged for the creation of functional / technical specifications and their development into code. • Must have ETL experience with Datastage with Oracle backend. Informatica would be a nice to have. • Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve business and/or technical problems. • Possesses a strong understanding of programming languages, development tools, and the current environment. • Possesses a strong understanding of business requirements and IT strategies; draws on broad knowledge base (e.g., infrastructure, technology, and applications) to analyze complex problems and contribute to troubleshooting efforts. • Leverages strong design understanding and/or capabilities (e.g., database, application code, reusable objects, and interfaces) to optimize development efforts in a distributed environment; good understanding of development technology used to support one or more business operations areas. • May be required to coordinate small numbers of junior staff in the execution of projects. • Responds to direct questions from IT Management or the business on the effects of emerging technologies on product development and business directions; may provide buy vs. build recommendations or assist in platform determination. Required education/experience: • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. • 8 to 11 years of IT work experience in systems programming / analysis • Typically experienced across two Information Technology areas or in a single system / applications software development technology across multiple computing platforms. • Responsibilities more heavily weighted toward analytics than operations. • Practical experience of project management disciplines. The analyst will serve on the Functional Team that interfaces between the Business and the Application Development (AD) teams to support migration of a legacy data warehouse to new technology. The analyst will be responsible for understanding the current/future state design of data from the Relationship Management data warehouse. This position is related to the overall effort to migrate internal data warehouses and data marts to an enterprise data warehouse. Tasks and Responsibilities: • Develops source-to-target documents while indicating, sources, transformation, cleansing rules, and metadata for loading into the data warehouse, data marts, and operational data stores . • Communicate effectively with business and technical users in both an oral and written manner. Able to troubleshoot technology and business problems. Provide insight based on previous experience. work well independently and in a team environment • Writes for analytic applications to allow business users to access and analyze data in a data warehouse or mart • Develop and execute test and implementation plans • Develop and execute project plans, as well as coordinating technical IT groups • Multi Tera byte data warehousing experience. Understanding the design considerations for star schemas and its relationships. Understanding the concept of data rollups/aggregation, capacity planning, data standardization, slowly changing dimensions, and data security. • Basic understanding of ETL tools Informatica or DataStage.
