Term: 12+ Months Note: Hiring process - Phone interview, then must do in-person interview Job Description: *Responsibilities: * - Implement and help design a flexible, scalable, data-intensive infrastructure supporting composition and efficient print output generation - Integrate with best of class composition engine - Coordinate with non-technical team members (Content/Creative/Production) to understand their workflow and to communicate technical limitations - Review other’s engineering designs and provide constructive feedback - Interface with marketing and user experience for requirements gathering and refinement - Define and scope high-level design and development tasks - Schedule and manage engineering tasks for a small team of developers - Triage bugs and prioritize work for the team *Key Skills and Experience:* - 5+ years experience developing commercial applications in Java. - Adobe CS4 and CS5 - Technical understanding of client problems amongst desktop design, web edit/preview, high-resolution composition, RIP and printing - Expertise with server performance and scalability issues – e.g. bottlenecks, capacity planning, performance improvements - Knowledge of web-based remoting methods (SOAP, REST-based design, RPC, AJAX, etc.) - Excellent Object Oriented programming and design - Good knowledge of XML schema design - Experience writing web services - Ability to design scalable systems that can be used across many applications supporting a highly available production environment - Practical experience with digital presses such as Igen and Indigo is a plus - Experience with Adobe InDesign Server is a plus - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced company with short release cycles - Excellent communication and personal skills - BS / MS in Computer Science desirable Thanks and have a great day, Aryan 732-579-6265 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "KNOW.IT" group.
