Need UNIX SME consultant NYC 6-months Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the enterprise server space. Ideal candidate is conversant in UNIX, LINUX, and x86 server enterprise architectures. Primary requirement is experience as a Solution Architect and support engineer in the UNIX / LINUX space on a large scale enterprise basis. Must have detailed knowledge of UNIX infrastructure, ideally cross vendor platforms (HP / IBM / etc.). Experience with current practice UNIX technology, data replication, stretch clustering (Veritas, Service Guard, etc) HA and DR configurations essential. Also UNIX partitioning and virtualization is a needed component. Ability to do detailed discovery, hardware familiarity, and ability to solution to a future state highly collapsed UNIX / LINUX model/.
