Term: 12+ Months Job Description: - Understand the needs of IT for SQL Server technologies and work to provide: - Guidance on best practices for existing SQL Server foundation underlying IT infrastructure applications deployed to Windows desktops corporate-wide - Standards, policies and best practices with a focus on security for all subsequent corporate SQL Server implementations - A potential central data warehouse for IT to analyze and report on data across the various databases in use with a goal to providing insight into user and departmental application usage, service-level reporting and system performance trends - Work with the existing Windows 7/Active Directory project teams on current initiatives and prioritization of effort, helping in ad-hoc reporting needed for deployment - Review and improve other current SQL Server-based systems in IT use - Work with Corporate Applications on standardized design for SQL Server database layer - Do Visio documentation and regular documentation of the environment *Requirements and Skills:* - 8 - 10 years of professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000and higher (prefer experience with SQL Server 2008 R2) - Understanding of how to scale database resources for specific but common IT infrastructure products for systems management, mobile data synchronization and/or antimalware - Able to work in a team within the enterprise, where working with existing teams dedicated to IT security, Windows infrastructure, storage and data center will be necessary - Able to work with application vendors to understand maintenance needs for each significant product - General understanding of basic Active Directory concepts including how inter-forest migrations affect security permissioning Thanks and have a great day, Aryan 732-579-6265 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "KNOW.IT" group.
