The system supports the State’s knowledge workers in the Employment Security Department. The system tracks employer’s tax reports, and processes payments towards their unemployment insurance obligations. The actual payment of benefits to the unemployed is a separate system which is not part of the project. *Position Description:* This lead role requires guidance of a non-client out-sourced team in support of knowledge transfer activities. Candidate will direct and mentor the non-client team applying defined standards and practices. This is not a pure leadership role; rather the team lead is expected to lead by example as both the leader and as an individual contributor. All work is done onsite in Olympia, WA. *Work Description:* • Understanding business and functional requirement specifications and reviewing detailed designs and functional application code to ensure confirmation to coding standards and practices – acting both as the team lead and coordinating with the 3rd party team lead under the direction of the software development manager • Working with other team members and team lead understanding design documents, preparing and updating class diagrams, sequence diagrams and other design documents • Working with business analysts for requirement clarifications and with the testers to confirm test coverage, support application testing and complete rapid issue resolution • The candidate will also spend a significant portion of their work day as an individual contributor, working on tasks delegated to them as the team lead Skills Required (provide specific details around tools, client environment, certifications needed, etc): • 2+ years of hands-on team leadership experience • 4-6 years of strong experience in Object Oriented design and development skills with .NET technologies (ASP.NET and C#) • 1-2 years of strong experience in GUI design and development in .NET technologies including JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, CSS and cross browser implementation, Storyboards and simple HTML Prototypes • Must have experience creating ASP.NET custom controls • Must have experience with N-tier architecture, full software development life cycle and ORM • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS), Enterprise Architect (EA) and BizTalk desired • Experience with Web Client Software Factory is a plus • Strong team player, Analytical skills, Delivery focused • Good communication skills • Unemployment experience preferred • Fund accounting (Government, Research University) financial system experience (benefits, pensions, etc.) helpful Thanks------------------------ --------------------------------------------- Kumar Integrated Technology Services, Inc.
