*Job Description***



The performance test analyst will perform performance analysis of software
applications.  Specific duties include working with the QA team to develop
performance test scripts and performance test suites that mirror the actual
or projected user profile and user loads that ensure Quality Assurance
performance standards are met.  All performance test runs will be
documented, analyzed and archived.  Performance test assets will be updated
and maintained with methodical discipline.



*Experience required:*

   - *1-2 years HP Loadrunner experience *
   - Broad knowledge of performance testing approaches and techniques
   - Diagnostic and problem solving skills
   - Ability to read and interpret application log files and  data base
   reports
   - Experience identifying performance bottlenecks and recommending
   resolutions
   - Experience creating performance test scripts and maintaining
   performance test suites
   - *Programming skills needed for coding performance test scripts* **
   - Experience with industry standard quality assurance  tools
   - Experience creating performance test summary reports   both technical
   and layperson

*Experience desired:*

   - Computer Science degree
   - Experience with maintenance of performance test tool sets and test
   harness
   - Experience with HP Probes
   - Working knowledge of  other industry performance tool sets
   - Experience with client side tools such as FIDLER
   - Experience with performance  monitoring applications such as HP Open
   View , Wiley, JMETER, Mission Control



*Skills needed:*

   - Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively
   project managers, developers and business analysts.
   - Demonstrated flexibility to meet timelines generally associated with
   performance test schedules (including off hours and emergency requests)
   - Organization skills needed to maintain, archive and retrieve assets
   efficiently.
   - Highly analytic, needs to be able to independently analyze test results
   and be confident making decisions and recommendations.
