The developer positions will be responsible for but not limited to:
A. Evaluating and modifying complex programs to take into account changes in system requirements or equipment configurations; and prepares diagrams and logic flowcharts for detailed coding and for the documentation of programming work.
B. Verify program logic by preparing test data to test and debug programs.
C. Interact routinely with vendors, program staff, and other system analysts to ensure requirements are met and work products are appropriately reviewed and validated.
D. Responsible for development of automated systems to ensure that user needs are properly translated into system requirements and design.
E. Constructs pages, dialogues, programs, run-streams, reports, test scenarios, etc., in support of DFPS users.
F. Manages documents, analyzes designs, validates, and implements systems using selected DFPS methodology and development tools.
G. Assists with requirements gathering.
H. Communicates and documents processes/procedures for technical and non-technical users.
I. Provides technical expertise for decision-making and problem resolution.
J. Performs other duties as assigned.
Skill in the following: J2EE (JAVA, EJB, JSP), ASP.Net, BEA Weblogic, Oracle 10g or higher, _javascript_, PERL, XML, HTML, UNIX, myEclipse, Visual Studio 2008 or higher, Internet web browsers, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of the following: technical development and production environments, industry best practices for requirements gathering, design, analysis, development, validation, and implementation.
Ability to do the following: use office productivity software, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, lead/participate in requirements gathering sessions with large groups of staff and develop detailed work plans, meet project schedules with minimal supervision, learn and apply new technology, and work in a team environment.
