I have a need for the following position for a client located in Oklahoma City, OK Please pre-screen people and provide a summary of the qualifications and all the contact info. Duration: Long term – likely 1+ yrs · Rate: Open, depending on experience · Client is looking for someone who understands the business and how to deal with business users and solve business problems using the technology platform in this case – Cognos. · Experience in Retail industry is a great plus, Food retail is even better; Experience with POS (Point of Sale) and Cognos for reporting integration is a big plus. · Cognos Report/Front End Developer for Reporting configurations, drill downs, etc. · Consultant that understands both technically and functionally how to Cognos and SQL work and implement reports as per business requirements. Consultant must be able to work independently · The consultant is expected to lead the work on his own with the customer.. · It is recommended someone with about 50% backend and 50% front end experience – someone with a very strong mix. Must be used to working directly with the business and understand/drive requirements and develop and architect the solution. · The following experience/knowledge is also a plus: o Can explain business problems that he is solving using reporting, must explain from a business perspective o Knows how do you use SQL o Knows “Unions” in SQL o Have you written SQL for Microsoft Platform i.e. PFQL or stored procedures o Understands Administration Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
