*Business Analyst -- Supply Chain Distribution*
*DURATION: JAN-JUNE 2011 (PROJECT EXPECTED TO LAST UNTIL 2013)*
*RATE: 45-50/hr*
*B*usiness Analyst Supply Chain Distribution
This Business Analyst will be a key part of a project team of Analysts,
Technologists, Project Management, and Consultants defining the requirements
and rollout strategy for a new food distribution facility. Position is
expected to run from January 2011 through August 2013.
*Responsibilities include: *
" Define business needs or create new business opportunities and implement
innovative solutions that meet business objectives
" Identify and analyze internal client and partner business needs, and
translate needs into business requirements and value-added solutions
" Develop the business case, recommend methods for achieving solution value,
and may facilitate stakeholder agreement and solution sign-off
" Support projects throughout the solution development life cycle, from
establishing vision and scope to validating requirements in the testing
phase
" Negotiate requirement agreements and commitments by facilitating
communication between business unit(s) and IT throughout the process
*Distribution / Supply Chain Requirements: *
Familiarity with warehousing, automated Material Handling Equipment,
distribution, and supply chain processes.
*Business Analysis Requirements: *
Proficiency in Business Analyst Skill Set is Required: Works with the
business and technical teams to define business needs and implement
innovative solutions that meet business objectives or create new business
opportunities through the effective use of technology. Establish the
solution vision and scope in the analysis phase to validate that
requirements have been met in the testing phase. General understanding of
the SDLC lifecycle and expereince dealing with Heavy client contact
required.

Other Position Requirements: *
" 7-9 years total work experience
" BA/BS or equivalent experience
" Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and written communication
skills
" Ability to travel for 1-3 weeks / month. Average travel expected 25-5
