JOB TITLE :SAP BASIS Administrator START DATE ASAP LENGTH: 6 months with possible extension LOCATION: Oxon Hill, MD Note: *Must be US citizen for this position.* *Cannot accept Green Card Holders or H1 candidates * TASK DESCRIPTION: The SAP Basis Administrator will perform and provide SAP Basis Administration for the client’s eCatalog application to ensure high availability and optimized performance of this SAP component. This administrative support extends to the Development, Test, Training, Production and Disaster Recovery environments. DUTIES: • Perform SAP Basis administration including performance tuning • Oversee and administer transport process/operational change management • Monitor table space growth, estimate growth and sizing requirements; Assist with the implementation of changes to support growth • Monitor and make recommendations to improve SAP performance • Monitor SAP environment and assist in troubleshooting • Monitor SAP performance and tune appropriately • Work with developer, UNIX and functional representatives to solve SAP Basis issues • Assist in the installation and upgrade of SAP systems • Assist in the evaluation of SAP upgrades and other related products • Assist with the installation of software patches and new releases of SAP software • Configure and maintain system environment modes & profiles • Participate in the System Performance tuning and make recommendations • Define and maintain standard operating procedures specifically focused on SAP • Provide change control of SAP database objects from development to test & production environments • Work closely with DBA, Application, and UNIX for installation, upgrades, & troubleshooting on SAP systems • Administer system schedules (Backups, downtime, client copies, upgrades) • Administer processing upgrade records, lock records and ABAP/4 short dumps • Provide SAP and database technical support to functional areas, configurators, & developers • Support interfaces and the 3rd party tools used in the environments • Develop and deliver all required technical documentation in accordance with Enterprise Lifecycle (ELC) methodology SKILLS: • Experience as a SAP Basis Administrator and knowledge of SAP technical support • Experience in basis management and performance tuning • Strong understanding of complex software and hardware solutions and ability to apply to client needs • Experience in SAP implementation programs • Strong knowledge and/or training in specialty field with desire to expand knowledge to other IS disciplines • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills specific to primary technology of study • Able to consider multiple pieces of information to resolve issues within the infrastructure • Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills • UNIX and Windows Server experience • Experience with key technologies including SAP Customer Relationship Management/Supplier Relationship Management; Server 4.0, SAP J2EEngine 6.20, SAP Internet Pricing Configurator (IPC), Bugs Eye Server v. 3.5.85, Crystal Reports, Internet Transaction Server (ITS), Solution Manager 3.1 Thanks & Regards *Karuna* Resource Executive* **Net2Source Consulting Ltd.* *Phone:201.884.7791* Email: [email protected] <[email protected]> US | Europe |ME | APAC |India *P* * Please don't print this e-mail unless you really need to do.* *[image: Description: Description: Description: logo]* Under Bill s.1618 Title III passed by the 105th U.S. Congress this mail cannot be considered Spam as long as we include contact information and a remove link for removal from our mailing list.
