Position: CRM/ERP Solution Architecture Lead - Houston, TX
Location: Houston, TX Position Type: Contract Job Summary The CRM/ERP Solution Architect Lead works collaboratively with business users and stake holders as well as CRM/ERP functional and technical team (OCT) teams and other IT teams as required accomplish three key objectives. * Define a solution architecture of a full scope CRM/ERP solution delivering Customer Service, Sales, Product/Pricing, Contracts/Agreements, Order Entry/Order Management and Billing/Collections capabilities to the organization * Manage all operational aspects of the CRM/ERP solution including release management, environments management, code migration and production support * Manage all performance testing aspects of CRM/ERP solution As a senior member of the CRM/ERP team, this individual will have staff leadership, training, mentoring and vendor management responsibilities. The Solution Architect will have both, "hands on" technical, functional and program management skills. The candidate will model usage patterns and transaction volumes in a multi-tier, highly-interactive, high volume distributed environment utilizing packaged software. Knowledge business capabilities, business process, business requirements, use cases, integration, data and application fit gap of CRM/ERP packages/applications is relevant Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. * Develops and implements the detailed solution architecture, application architecture, integration architecture and data architecture specifications, and design specifications including application fit-gap analysis. * Model usage patterns and transaction volumes in a multi-tier, high-interactive, high volume distributed environment utilizing packaged software. * Acts as the lead solution architect overseeing implementation of a CRM/ERP solution, and manage related enhancements, integration and data projects * Manages a team of one or more CRM/ERP application administrators and responsible for installation and maintenance of the CRM/ERP environments. * Leads collaborating with infrastructure team (server hardware & software, network hardware & software, operating systems, and data base administration) to effective manage the multiple CRM/ERP environments * Understands overall business operations and develops innovative solutions to help improve productivity * Follows an SDLC methodology and ensures methods compliance with internal and vendor teams * Facilitates new capabilities are solutioned and architected using current best practices and the latest CRM/ERP technology available * Solution and architects the inbound and outbound interfaces and data conversion solutions using a variety of integration technologies (CRM/ERP package specific, ETL, SOA and WebMethods) * Provide architectural guidance in solutioning Customer Set-Up, Order Entry, Contracts and Agreements and Order Management and provide innovative solutions to critical and complex business requirements * Architect single-sign on (SSO), authentication and access control solutions as it pertains to CRM/ERP applications * Data modeling as it pertains to CRM/ERP applications * Overseas all aspects of performance testing the application and recommending corrective actions, architectural changes etc to improve performance. * Overseas all CRM/ERP operational including release management, environment management, code migration and the IT side of production support (level 2 and over). * Trains and educate other team members around core Siebel capabilities and helps them deliver high quality technical solutions and documentation Supervisory Responsibilities This is a management position with direct supervision of a Functional design and business analyst team. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience and eight years of business / Solution Architecture experience including (5) full life cycle CRM projects. * Understanding / Experience in modeling applications, integrations and data for usage and load patters * Strong Siebel v8.0.0 Application architecture understanding required * Strong configuration skills using Siebel Tools v8.0 and higher (required) * Project experience developing solution architectures including CRM/ERP application architecture, integration architecture, data models and architecture, workflow Policies, ODBC, LDAP Authentication, Siebel Communication Manager * Siebel Server Administration (deploying SRF, applying Siebel patches, interpreting log files) * Databases/Utilities: Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g, SQL*Plus, SQL Loader, TOAD (or equivalent) * Creating Extension Columns and Indexes using Siebel Tools Languages: SQL & XML & eScript (required), HTML, JavaScript, PL/SQL * Desktop Tools: Microsoft Office including Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access * Operating Systems: Windows 2000/NT, XP, Unix shell scripting * Experience integrating with 3rd Party Data Providers (Equifax, D&B, Dodge) a plus Basic DBA experience a plus Preferred: Bachelor of Science; experience with Customer Service, Order Entry/Order Management, and Billing/Collections process; experience with enterprise CRM/ERP applications Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements * Current Siebel Certifications (8.0 or higher) * Knowledge of Business Process Mapping and Notations * PMI Certification is a plus * DBA or Data modeling certifications a plus * webMethod or SOA tools training a plus Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities * Proven record of technical leadership in CRM, ERP or Billing technologies * Extensive experience working with and influencing senior executives; * Broad vision and penetrating strategic thinker; * Strong ability to collaborate with corporate senior leadership, senior technologists and business stakeholders to align personnel, processes and technology; * Ability to analyze and understand complex business processes to identify areas for improvement; * Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to effectively express complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences; * Strong presentation skills and enthusiasm for case-building at the senior level; * Demonstrated ability to perform in a collaborative team environment at a senior leadership level Work Environment Listed below are key points regarding environmental demands and work environment of the job.
