*Location : Bloomington IL* SUMMARY: Responsible for all aspects of Microsoft stack based Infrastructure services. This includes research, design, test, and deploy technologies being implemented by the desktop organization at American Airlines. Majority of the focus will be on Microsoft technologies utilizing new products (Server 2008 File Services, Hyper-V, System Center products, and HP hardware) to streamline the desktop infrastructure. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Research, design, deploy, and test Windows 2008 R2 Operating System. Research, design, deploy, and test File Services, DFS, Disk Quotas, and File Screens. Research, design, deploy, and test Data Protection Manager. Research, design, deploy, and test System Center Operations Manager. Design, implement, and support server virtualization using Hyper-V. Design network printing, directory structures, rights, security, and software on file servers. Responds to the needs and questions of users concerning their access of resources on the network. Develops and adheres to network standards. Provides planning and technical support for company installations. Provide assistance to other support groups as necessary Assists in the selection and recommendation of standardized equipment selection. Stays abreast of new technologies as it applies to business needs. Knowledge of VDI is a Plus. Performs other duties as assigned. *QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. 8 to 10 years of experience in the field as a Systems Engineer. An MCSE certification is a plus. *SPECIALIZED SKILLS:* Design and Implementation experience with Windows 2008 R2 Operating System. Design and Implementation experience with File Services/DFS/File Screens/Disk Quotas. Design and Implementation experience with Microsoft Virtualization platform including Hyper-V and VMM. Experience with integrating HP tools with System Center. Design and Implementation experience with System Center Data Protection Manager Design and Implementation experience with System Center Operations Manager Knowledge of HP Blade Servers. Ability to diagnose and solve problems. Effectively communicate. Clustering Software and 1+ Yrs. Enterprise Email and 1+ Yrs. HP Blades and 1+ Yrs. Microsoft Server * and 5+ Yrs.
