Duration: 6 months Location: Herndon Rate: $45/hr *Sr. UAT Tester KEY JOB FUNCTIONS: Analyze business requirements and technical specifications of applications in development to see how they can be developed into testable elements. Develop test scripts, test scenarios, and understand governing test methodology with required documentation to govern execution and compliance efforts. Responsibilities will include the preparation of test data, development of test scripts, and test execution. Conduct tests of business applications and services in lower and production environments, applications about to be migrated, or applications recently patched. Participate in test execution efforts for individual test stages and perform collaboration with other test teams. Document test results, and compile results of other testers into consolidated report for management, clients, applications staff. May perform regression or other analyses and produce findings and summary results for presentation to management. Evaluate testing methodologies and testing tools available in the market, and advise management on adopting them. May test production software that had bugs or breakdowns in production. Test as appropriate and determine root causes and document for other technical staff to address. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS • Must have 4-6 years direct Quality Assurance experience planning for and executing functional and system test on planning and participating in a large data intensive testing project. • Proficient in enterprise requirements and defect management tools. • Experience with the specific tools DOORS for requirements management, Clear Quest for defect management and Quality Center for test execution preferred. • Ability to quickly verify database interactions and the preparation of detailed test data based on complex business scenarios. • Understanding of and experience with Service Oriented Architecture. • Proficiency in writing complex sql queries. • Proficiency in analyzing XML schemas, creating XML files from scratch. • Demonstrated test execution experience with data mapping and verification. • Automation with Quick Test Pro, performance test using Load Runner and other tool-based skills preferred. • Possess strong analytical skills to review requirements and provide constructive, critical feedback to improve the requirements gathering, documentation, and review processes. • Experience in data preparation and production and review of xml schemas strongly preferred. • Possess sufficient verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective facilitation and coordination across multiple project teams (internal stakeholders, IT groups, and technology vendor staff).* Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
