Hi, Let me know if you have any available consultant as for the requirement below. *Notes from Manager:* Recent experience with the contract designers that have been brought in has revealed a gap in what they say they can do and what they actually can do. We’re trying to find a person who sounds good on paper but that can then demonstrate with their portfolio that they really have the skills we need…equally important are an innate or formally developed design skills and coding chops. Judging design ability is subjective but there is a pretty universal feeling among us that most of those candidates didn’t have what we are looking for…or at least didn’t highlight it well enough. *-Are there any specific proficiency questions we can ask candidates when prescreening them?* 1. Do you have experience coding HTML/CSS from scratch? What we mean is – Are you able to create your own HTML/CSS code for web pages without using templates, code snippets or WYSIWYG web design tools? 2. Do you know pure JavaScript and if so do you write your own JS from scratch? 3. Do you know JavaScript frameworks and if so which one(s) do you use? Do you extend the functionality of the framework or just use the out-of-the-box capabilities? 4. Are you comfortable talking directly to customers to understand their needs, or do you prefer having an intermediate contact between? 5. Are you comfortable speaking about the design decisions made in your projects, and explaining the rationale behind them? 6. Do you prefer to work alone or with a group of design peers? 7. Are you self sufficient and can you self-manage multiple complex projects simultaneously? *-On sample web sites, are there any attributes of the web sites that we should be looking for?* 1. When prescreening and viewing their web sites, they should look professional and polished. You should have a gut feeling that wow this looks nice. 2.
