Consultant(s) shall perform training on server administration and migrating institutional data from the current platform to Windows Server 2008 (R2). Contractor(s) tasks or duties include, but are not limited to, all of the following: 1. Develop training materials for file and print server administration tasks; 2. Act as a single point of contact for each institutions file and print migration before, during, and after each migration; 3. Coordinate with IT headquarters and/or institutional staff according to project schedule; 4. Provide technical direction for State and/or contractor resources assigned to migration project; 5. Provide input and assistance to other project team members for maintenance of overall project schedule(s) and plan(s); 6. Draft and/or assist with preparation of issue paper(s), decision memorandum(s), and/or IT research documents; 7. Monitor implementation schedules; 8. Follow quality assurance processes to ensure all project objectives are met, assigned tasks are achieved, and stakeholder expectations are managed; Mandatory Consultant Qualifications: 1. At least three (3) years of Windows Server administration experience working independently to implement standardized server architecture and manage server operating systems; 2. At least one (1) year of experience training Information Technology (IT) staff that have various levels of IT knowledge and experience; 3. Microsoft Server 2008 file and print server administration expertise including experience with file and print server migration, share and NTFS permissions, Access Based Enumeration, File Screening, DFS Name Spaces, and migration from 32-bit printing services of Microsoft Server 2000 or 2003 to the 64-bit print services of Microsoft Server 2008 (R2); 4. Ability to manage migration of Windows XP and Windows 7 domain clients to new print servers and driver sets; 5. Experience performing technical writing and documentation services; and 6. Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical tasks with IT staff and customers. 7. Consultant must be willing to provide a detailed description of consultant's approach for completing the services requested in Statement of Work. Darrell will provide information needed for this work plan to the consultants after they are qualified by recruiter. Desirable Qualifications: 1. At least one (1) year experience administering multiple servers in remote geographical business locations; 2. Working knowledge of group policy scripts; 3. Experience working with State staff; and 4. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
