We have One Layer between Client and us and if you are Interested to work with us then Please submit Resumes to [email protected] Role: Software Engineer Location; NYC Duration: 6months+ Rate: $45/hr * * *Need local candidate * *Job Description: * -Design and plan search -implementation based on business requirements for various repositories and platforms such as Domino.Docs, Notes, Web etc., according to business requirements. - Develop web interfaces for different search implementations respecting security required by the Client. - Provide ongoing support of Search Engine infrastructure including Google Search Appliances, crawlers, connectors, feeds, etc. - Develop written documentation including project plans, policy and procedure, presentations, and other documents as necessary. - Participate in FISMA and Risk Management Process for pertinent technologies and develop supporting documentation. - Help integrating Microsoft (Sharepoint) and IBM collaborations tools as well as Web Content Management and Portal technology. - Provide technical consulting for lines of business and other support staffs on web infrastructure and related services. *Required Skills:* - Working knowledge of Win-XP, Vista, and Win 2003 Server operating systems, as well as other Bank-standard computing platforms is desirable. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage external vendors responsible for problem resolution. - Understanding of strengths and weaknesses of various indexing algorithms (inference vs. keyword, linguistic vs. mathematical/statistical) is desirable. - Ability to understand business requirement and appropriately translate them to technical and functional requirement. - Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to balance multiple projects and conflicting priorities. - Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of management, local and national support staff, customers, and external vendors. - Proven project planning skills in effectively meeting deadlines on individual assignments, knowledge and experience with PMBOK methodology is desirable. - Strong ability and interest in mastering new and emerging technologies. -Experience with Google Search Appliances, crawlers, connectors, feeds, etc. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or related discipline or equivalent work experience. - 2 or more years of technical experience in coding JAVA, JSP, XML, HTML and other web services and programming languages. - 2 or more years of technical experience in the search and knowledge management space is desirable -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "KNOW.IT" group.
