Send the resumes with contact information to [email protected] Title: Oracle Performance Tuner Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 6 Months Required qualifications/necessary skills: .Strong knowledge of how PeopleSoft applications interact with the Oracle 10g middleware and Oracle 10g databases .Expert skills in writing efficient as well as tuning and identifying problems with existing SQL and PL/SQL code, database packages and procedures, including but not limited to: indexes and defining summary tables. Scope: The consultant filling this contract will be expected to: .Analyse, develop, and implement performance improvement for Oracle 10g, Oracle 11g (nice to have) and Oracle Middleware solutions for the University of Minnesota's PeopleSoft Financial reporting environment. .Provide performance design, delivery, and troubleshooting of the reporting database for the University of Minnesota's technical development and architecture teams .Assess high level design issues relating to platform, software, and interactions with other systems .Utilize diagnostic and monitoring tools to detect, isolate, and resolve performance issues throughout the application and technology stack. .Identify application performance bottlenecks and recommend application instrumentation and/or remediation strategies .Identify application performance areas and recommend tuning of application code as necessary .Follow Office of Information Technology development methodology and practices.
