Project Location: Topeka , KS Project Duration: 6-9 Months Approximate Start Date: February 1st week 2011 Senior .NET Developer/Mentor Job Description: The Senior .NET developer is responsible for ongoing maintenance on non-mainframe applications/services, including problem report resolution and off-hours support. The candidate will Supply regular progress reports to the project supervisor, Perform other development tasks as assigned by the Application Development Supervisor/Manager. The candidate will mentor the client development in the support, maintenance and enhancement of ASP .NET with C# services/applications. The position requires strong experience using ASP .NET, C#.NET, Visual Studio 2010, LINQ/Entity Framework and MS Office Primary Interoperable Assemblies(middleware)., to train and mentor Client staff developers in the support, maintenance and enhancement of ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> with C# applications, some of which utilize the MS Office Primary Interoperable Assemblies (middleware). * * Key Job Responsibilities: ü Perform ongoing maintenance on non-mainframe applications (Microsoft Applications)/services, including problem report resolution and off-hours support. ü Participate in design meetings with the Business Analyst and business staff ü Design solutions based on predefined business requirements ü Provide time estimates and assist the Application Development Supervisor/Manager in preparing project timeline. ü Create system design and technical documentation ü Follow established coding standards for the existing system ü Code and unit test the new solutions ü Participate with acceptance testing and problem resolution ü Ensure solutions (enhancements/modifications/fixes) integrate efficiently with existing mainframe and non-mainframe applications in support of the Child Support Enforcement Program. ü Supply regular progress reports to the project supervisor ü Perform other development tasks as assigned by the Application Development Supervisor/Manager ü Instruct and mentor Client staff developers in the support, maintenance and enhancement of ASP .NET with C# services/applications. ü Assist with user help documentation creation ü Establish a professional, successful relationship with the client. ü Mentor Client Technical Teams.
