Job Description Client needs an experienced Applications Developer specialist for an as needed on-site engagement. As the Application Development Specialist, the candidate will be responsible for helping support the continued implementation of the Debt Management System (DMS) and provide support for other applications on a similar platform. The candidate will be expected to gain proficiency with OMS application data models and data dependencies so as to provide the best possible assistance to business users and owners in their data access needs. The candidate will design and develop new reports and queries to support the business data access needs of client and its projects. Candidate will be required to have: - expert level Visual Basic 6.0 - expert level MS SQL Server skills - expert level SQL skills (authoring queries, stored procedures, functions and tuning others work). - expert level working in excel (e.g., complicated macros and windows utilities that generate xls content) - strong experience with reporting tools such as: Crystal Report Designer. Strong business analysis skills is preferred as there is an expectation that the candidate will work closely with business staff to author technical designs and interpret system needs. Experience working at financial firm is preferred. The candidate should have deep knowledge of the full application development and deployment life cycle processes. Work experience should reflect proven ability in developing and delivering successful Web-based applications and in coordinating such deployments. Other qualifications include communications skills sufficient for working effectively with other members of the project team. Good work task organizational skills and detailed follow-through skills are required to monitor and report on the status of development and to resolve issues that are uncovered.
