*Description*

Support Cognos (Repornet, , 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4) environments for the client.
Monitor the Cognos environments and suggest improvements for stability &
performance improvements
Implement patches and upgrades



*Primary Skills*

• Installation and configuration of Cognos environments (Cognos Reportnet,
Report Studio, Query Studio and Analysis Studio,  Report studio, Report
Bursting , Planning)  and applying fix packs/ patches
•         Maintained Cognos 8.3 or 8,4 environments
• Providing the RCA for application outages
• Working on production bugs and minor enhancements in development
• Resolving issue related to Migration/Upgrade, DataSource, Scheduling,
Security/Capabilities, Framework Manger, Cognos server , Application
Development
• Providing access permissions using Access Manger/LDAP for ReportNet/Cognos
8 Report.
• Create/update the users in LDAP using LDAP browser
• Migration of package from source to target environment.
• Scheduling/bursting reports in Cognos production environment
• Creating/Modifying datasource for Cognos Package.
• Restarting Cognos Services for any issues.
• Created program/automated tools using Cognos SDK to resolve Cognos Admin
issues.
• Technical/Process documents for the project to minimize the resolution
time.
• Scheduling the cubes in Autovisin(Envisn.)
• Work with team to resolve tickets  and follow up with team and users.
• Maintain cripts for cube build process in cognos 8.4



*Secondary Skills*

• Strong knowledge of RDBMS concepts
• Good team player with equal ability to work independently during weekends,
off hours and provide on-call support
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of ITIL processes
• Prior experience in a Pharmaceutical environment
