Contractor just need to pick a location and stick with it. We’ve had other SAS contractors, who say 1 location, and change their mind later. Whatever they pick, sticks forever. This client is tough and they even sometimes release contractors after a couple of weeks, if they don’t like. Our client wants not just a “programmer” that relies on someone to tell them what to do, but someone who can think quickly on their feet, understand the requirements, ask appropriate questions to ensure complete understanding, and deliver correctly the first time. They need someone who can offer suggestions to improve environment and leverage those improvements to meet SLAs with quality execution (& experience in doing so).
