Please find a detailed job description below: * * *Position: Oracle Analytical Expert* * * *Location: Newport Beach, CA * *Type: Long Term (6+ months)* *Start Date: Immediate * * * *Description of day to day tasks: * * * A prestigious buy side firm in west coast is looking for an experienced Oracle person with expertise in analytical functions to create aggregated analysis results from very large data sets. The candidate is going to work with business to produce data analysis functionalities using Oracle database and build up expertise to quickly slice/dice massive loan performance data combining with complex economic indicators to deliver business solutions both tactically and strategically. The candidate will also be part of the team to develop cube solutions in the future. Requirements The person needs to be an expert on analytical function on Oracle. (1) At least 5 years of extensive hands-on working experience on Oracle PL/SQL and 3 years of Oracle analytical functions. Ideally the candidate has also worked with Sybase IQ and/or ASE. (2) Experienced in directly working with business analyst and ideally knowledgeable about 1010data. It would be highly desirable if the candidate knows about mortgages. (3) Fluent in scripting languages such as Perl and/or Python on Linux. (4) Dedicated and focused to get project done, and capable of making fast delivery in a dynamic environment. *Should have experience with data warehouse.
