Java Application Developer Location: Seattle, WA

The ideal candidate should have experience in back office application and database development in a highly-transactional e-commerce type organization. Essential Functions -Deliver high quality applications/services, code line, and documentation -Build or modify database objects using T-SQL, and perform unit testing and build delivery -Author clear and effective technical analysis and technical design documentation -Work within a Scrum team to produce quality deliverables -Support QA by participating in test plan reviews, attending triage meetings and providing bug fixes -Provide system support as necessary, including but not limited to after hours on-call support -Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Sponsors to ensure business requirements and functional specifications are complete and consistent -Perform code reviews and peer reviews -Handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines, while effectively managing priorities and communicating progress Qualifications Experience and Qualifications -Experience in Java (J2SE) and/or C# application development -Working knowledge of OO design and common design patterns -Working experience with SOA and creating web/windows services -Experience with automated, fault-tolerant, checkpoint/step-restartable applications -Strong experience writing stored procedures, triggers and SQL queries using Transact-SQL -Experience with query optimization strategies, concurrency management, locking contention, isolation levels, and database performance -Strong working knowledge of data modeling and schema design -Experience with recognized industry patterns, methodologies, and techniques -Proven track record of delivering quality deliverables -Strong communication and organizational skills -Experience working in an Agile development environment -Experience working in a Sybase ASE 15.x environment is a plus -PowerBuilder experience is a plus -SSRS development is a plus -Experience using popular Java open source libraries and frameworks like the Spring framework, Axis, and log4j is a plus -Experience working in a Java application server environment is a plus Education and/or Certifications -Bachelor--s degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience ____________________________________________________________________________ ______________ Kiran Raj Client Manager ASCENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., Certified "WMBE" 42, Prestbury Square, Newark DE 19713.
