Super strong with OSPF and EIGRP protocols. We have a 3 - 6 month contract opportunity for a Sr. Network Engineer position on a swing shift. The shift is Monday through Friday - 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Diagnoses and resolves medium to difficult network related issues. Ability to implement workarounds to address service outages. Maintain, update, and patch toolsets and underlying structures. Perform reactive traffic, application, and service analysis studies for multi-tiered applications. Completes work order and help desk ticket assignments. Creates work instructions. Completes work order and help desk assignments within SLA. Completes project work according to schedule. Ensures toolsets are maintained. Responds to management RFIs in a timely manner. Attends project, staff, and change meetings. Completes issue and status reports. Performs proactive analysis and makes recommendations. Creates work instructions. Mentors associate engineers. Acts in a professional manner. CCNP or equivalent experience and knowledge. Proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, software, routing, and switching components in a heterogeneous LAN/WAN environment with no supervision. Experience with configuring Cisco routers and switches with no supervision. Experience configuring firewalls and VPN tunnels with no supervision. Experienced with interpreting network monitoring toolsets reports in diagnosing network related issues. Experienced with replacing network hardware components. Logging and debugging skill set required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Strong network connectivity working knowledge and advanced network IP addressing and network/application connectivity and integration experience.
