location : NY start date : Feb 15 2010 rate : Market Microsoft Solution Architect - Jr. The successful Consultant shall be responsible for the migration of several existing external web-based applications from Novell’s iChain to Microsoft’s Unified Application Gateway (UAG) Publishing Server Model. The Consultant shall be responsible for reviewing our current configuration of UAG and making recommendations to improve that platform if necessary. The Consultant shall work with our System Administration provider, Pomeroy, in effecting any changes to that platform. In addition: 1. Implement & Test the Solution for the following areas: a. Implement Extranet Authentication and web publishing Infrastructure, via Microsoft UAG software framework in our Production Environment (active & backup) 2. Implement & Test the UAG Publishing Server Solution: a. Develop a transition plan from iChain Web published external access to the UAG solution. b. Implement HTTPS (SSL) capability if needed. c. Implement Secure Application Publishing (web-based applications) d. Convert 2 existing sites from iChain to UAG. e. Implement & Test Sharepoint Publishing via UAG. 3. Document a provisioning procedure for the addition of new sites in UAG.
