Title /Role : Sr. Siebel Admin Location : Sunnyvale ,CA Duration : 6 Months Contract Job Summary : The Sr. Siebel Administrator will provide technical support as part of the NetApp Siebel Application Support team. This individual should be a self-starter with ability to drive problem closure and develop systemic solutions. This individual should have strong inter-personal skills for interacting with the business support team, the business and the managed service provider (MSP) Siebel operation’s personnel. This person should be able to think tactically and quickly to resolve issues, and poses strategic vision for long term fixes. Strong organizational skills, technical expertise, attention to detail and ability to stay cool under fire are key. Under the guide of the L2 Siebel Operations Manager, be responsible for the following areas: Housekeeping, space management, account management, deployment of application changes, monitoring, triage, ticket resolution and troubleshooting of all technology related issues. This position requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation. Job requirements: - · Resolution of helpdesk tickets - · Excellent oral and written communication skills. - · Ability to work collaboratively with and share technical expertise with other Siebel technology team members; ability to work independently as well. - · Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. - · Ability to time manage effectively in a dynamic environment, and deliver results when expected. - · Experience with Web Servers (IIS 5x or higher) installation and configuration in a Unix & Windows environment. - · Must poses ITIL process knowledge (certified preferable). - · Platform/Application support and administration. - · Knowledge and skills of Siebel Enterprise 7.5 or higher. - · Siebel Application performance tuning - · Experience with Unix shell or Perl scripting, gcc, make, ant, or other open-source tools - · Knowledge and understanding of LDAP, NIS, DNS. - · TCP/IP and networking technologies and protocols. - · Knowledge and skills with Oracle SQL/PLSQL - · Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues even in unfamiliar environments is an essential skill. - · Ability to follow and adhere to departmental policies, procedures and standards. Recommend improvement to policies and procedures to management. - · Ability to work a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule. Education & Experience : Core Skills · *Responsibility*: o The tasks this individual is responsible are often unstructured and the issues addressed are less defined requiring new perspectives and creative approaches. o This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope requiring in-depth evaluation. o Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions. *·* *Interaction:* *o* This individual must work effectively with Staff to Sr. Director level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties. *o* Limited supervision and direction is provided, as this individual can operate and drive results and set priorities independently. *o* The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor *·* *Education & Experience:* *o* A minimum of 8 to 10 years of Siebel experience is required. *o* A minimum of 4 years of Siebel operation’s is required *o* A minimum of 4 years of support is required *o* Experience with all of the following is required *§* Siebel 7.5 or higher *§* Unix – Solaris preferred *§* Oracle 9.2 or above § Resonate load balancing § IIS o Experience of any of the following is desired § Weblogic § Cisco load balancing *o* A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineer or Computer Sciences, or related technical field required; or equivalent experience in Systems Integration, Computers Sciences, Computer Information Systems, MIS, or related. *o* Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
