Here is an urgent Requirement from *Abacus Management & Consultancy Services.* * * *Please reply me on [email protected] for quick response with some following details:-* Resume: Availability: Rate on c2c: Present Location: Contact number No. Email ID: Employer Detail's: *Location : Reston, VA* *Duration : 1 Year +* *Rate : Open* This position is for* GIS Developer/Database Consultant *Please find the complete details below. *Job Description:* · Working knowledge of geologic principles, especially those used on geologic maps and in stratigraphic reports. · Working experience with the preparation and (or) publication of geologic maps; · Professional experience with Perl and Perl DBI, PHP, JavaScript, Linux shell, SQL, HTML, and .CSS. · Professional experience with relational database design, especially in Oracle systems. · Professional experience with systems that manage publications (e.g., library or agency systems), especially regarding challenges associated with managing citations. · Professional manner, ability to work well with other project members and with state geological survey and other cooperators. · At least 7 years of documented, on-the-job experience in the above skills is highly desirable. *Responsibilities * · Works with other technical members of the NGMDB project to identify the most efficient methods for processing various types of files received from numerous cooperating agencies. · Researches geologic information and publications in libraries, other databases, and on-line resources to supplement and refine the data provided to the project. · Creates and tests scripts in a variety of programming languages (i.e., Perl and Perl DBI, PHP) to load, error-check, and manipulate information provided by the geologists and geological data librarians associated with the project. · Devises methods for efficiently comparing large, complex files and databases, detecting errors and inconsistencies, and processing results into the NGMDB databases. · Designs Web pages to display the information from the NGMDB databases.
