Job Title: Desktop Engineer Location: WI
Duration: 6 months *Duties:* - Application repackaging and distribution to a global client base - Scripting/engineering solutions/processes to support the desktop platform - Assisting with various projects: Desktop security initiatives, McAfee suite upgrade (Virus Scan, Firewall, ePO), Desktop/Application Virtualization Evaluation - Participate in the Virus remediation process as needed - Keeping up to date on new technologies. This includes evaluating beta software and participating in technical forums *Skills: * - Experience with applications development and proficiencies in at least 2 programming languages. Visual Basic and/or VB Script preferred. - Proven QA/Testing abilities. - Experience in desktop image development - Familiarity/expertise with application repackaging and deployment techniques using tools such as Wise, InstallShield, AutoIt - Familiarity/expertise with supporting Microsoft EFS and Microsoft CA/PKI infrastructure - Familiarity/expertise with Desktop and/or Application Virtualization products/technologies - Familiarity with Group Policy Administration - Familiarity with PC management and deployment tools such as SCCM, ePO - Experience working with SQL database queries and reporting using multiple tools. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the SCCM database structure. - MCSE or equivalent experience - A proven skill-set that includes a wide breadth of infrastructure related technologies (OS, e-mail, applications, networking, Web, handheld computing, hardware, video conferencing, firewalls, ODBC, printers, Instant Messaging.
