*Key Skills:* - highly desired or equivalent experience in - Cisco CCNA, CCNP or CCSP, certification(s) - Juniper JNCIA or JNCIP certification(s) - Other industry certifications (MSCE, RHCE, etc) a plus. *Skills :* - experience of hands-on Cisco and/or Juniper multilayer switch and router configuration and troubleshooting experience in CatOS, IOS, Junos, on Ware. - experience supporting stateful firewalls (Cisco PIX/ASA Checkpoint), IPSEC and SSL VPN. - Proven track record in the support, and management of complex networks that support end-to-end application-driven solutions across multi disciplinary platforms. - Demonstrated exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. - Experience with any of the following load balancer platforms – F5, Alteon, Cisco CSS, Foundry ServerIron. - Technical expertise must include knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols (BGP), VTP, STP, LACP, PAgP, RSPAN, NAT, ACL, VRRP, HSRP, Cisco ACS. - Hands on experience with Linux/Unix systems running network management tools such as Snort, Syslog, MRTG, NMIS, RANCID, SNMP. - Preferred expertise that encompasses network management and support, integration services, and security audit and design. - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment. - Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and written in a professional manner. - Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides. - Highly self motivated and directed. - Keen attention to detail. - Strong customer service orientation. - Experience working in a dynamic team-oriented, collaborative environment. - Strong desire to learn and grow technically and professionally. - On-call availability about every 3 weeks *Duties:* - Provide operations support in a 24x7x365 environment which includes, routing and switching configuration changes, firewall rule changes, hardware - maintenance, and networking upgrade support. Provide analysis and recommendations pertaining to network optimization and enhancements in order to improve performance, increase efficiency, and - reduce costs. Participate in the maintenance of network configuration documentation, documentation on maintenance, as well as standard operating procedures - (SOPs) that pertain to network engineering. - Participate in customer, contract and vendor meetings as required. Participate in documenting, and coordinating recommended changes to system architecture to accommodate technology upgrades and performance problems/issues. - Support of network environments includes management of network and security system resources; risk management, security compliance, vulnerability scanning, patching, upgrades, multivendor firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers; network design and architecture problem analysis; network troubleshooting and network maintenance, measured against SLAs. - Provides root-cause analysis, contributes to the knowledge base, and provides recommendations for continuous improvements to workflow, process, and technology. - Be able to work independently and come up to speed quickly on new technologies. - Rotational on-call duties required.
