*Duration : 1 year* *Rate : $40/hr* Technical Analyst/Engineer - Expert Systems Integrator - Ameriprise - Hosting Infrastructure Services Specializes in bringing component subsystems together into a whole and ensuring that those subsystems function together (Hardware\Software). Working within a High Touch implementation model providing integration expertise to application teams, Project Managers, Project Architects, Technical Leads, etc. Provides technical expertise by independently determining and developing approaches to integration. Requirements based solutions for a wide range of complex software/hardware engineering problems. Practices product integration strategies and applies them when resolving a variety of problems. Uses judgment, creativity, and sound technical knowledge to obtain or recommend solution. Provides expertise in systems design, implementation, and post-implementation systems validation. Ability to at match a customers needs with existing or new products/configurations Ability to understand and assist in architectural designs for multiple systems Ability to work with limited direction applying industry best practices High reasoning aptitude to quickly understand the application operating environment Ability to understand multiple system APIs and how those systems interact with other systems Product/systems knowledge - broad systemsa little bit of knowledge about a large number of products/systems Ability to perform a substantial amount of analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting work. The ability to research existing products and software components is also helpful The ability to fully understand the application environment and make proven recommendations on the hardware, software, and configuration based on current/future application environment needs Use of business process engineering techniques to develop technical solutions Provides technical direction/support in JAD sessions, presentations, demonstrations, installation and maintenance to ensure the system is functioning according to specifications/requirements Participates with the in the strategic design process to identify additional integration opportunities Responsible for the technical correctness\completeness of integrated systems designs\artifacts Develops/recommends solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure Non-Technical Requirements Requires 5-7 years of related work experience and Bachelors degree, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical skills and customer service abilities required. Ability to communicate and articulate technical information across various organizational levels. Strong thought leadership abilities. Ability to be innovative. Ability to be accountable for integration solutions. Technical Requirements Requires 5-7 years of systems implementation\architectural experience in Solaris/AIX, Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, VMWare, Hyper-V, Cisco (LAN/WAN), Storage Area Network (SAN/NAS), Clustering, Volume Management, Filesystems, Disaster Recovery, Application Recovery, database administration (SQL/Oracle), Cloud Computing concepts, Grid computing concepts, Web\Database Farm concepts, database applications, and ERP Application Support.
