The deployment environment is VxWorks. Background Required: . Good knowledge of C and C++ programming. . Good skills in Rose Real Time . Knowledge of working and building code in an embedded VxWorks environment. . Knowledge of writing code in a Linux (preferably) or Unix environment. Comfort in navigating on a Linux machine . Knowledge of IP networking would be helpful. Title : Linux Scripting Eng Location : Fairfield Ct Duration : 3-6 months FACE TO FACE LOCALS ONLY RESPONSIBILITIES . Implementredundancy and high availability applications. . Write and debug required scripts and configuration to support highly available and redundant Linux based deployment. . Write and debug scripts and configuration to support platform deployment . Perform platform, high availability, and deployment installations. . Install and test Ret Hat Linux based application server and test high availability of applications by performing failovers. . Diagnose and correct problems with installations and/or failovers. Required: . At least 5 years Linux server administration experience. . Excellent communication skills (including presentation, verbal, and writing). . Demonstrated ability to work with other tech leads and teams to resolve problems. . Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and require minimal supervision. . A good understanding of highly available and redundant software development practices. . Strong knowledge of Linux Shell scripting. . Experience writingscripted programms on Unix/Linux operating systems (Python, and Perl). . Experience building Linux applications from source code. . In-depth knowledge of Linux administration, configuration, packagingand deployment. . In addition, candidates must have experience in one or more of the following areas: o Firewalls and Network Security o TCP/IP and Network topologies o Knowledge of and experience in virtualization Desired: . Experience with WebLogic/OCCAS application server . Experience with the MySQL database, database access controls, and secure data replication over SSL. . Recent experience in VoIP telephony. REQUIRED EDUCATION . Certification as a Linux Administrator OR . Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Job title: Linux Tester Duration:6+ months Location: Fairfield, CT a..
