Client is seeking a Data Analyst to perform the following:
· Review Data Standard changes and work with developers and data
modelers to document impact analysis to PEIMS application for each year’s
collection.
· Work with users to document the technical portion of the System
Requirements Specification.
· Work with developers and data modelers to document the System
Detail Design Specification.
· Work with data modelers on the design of data models, based on
requirements and detailed designs.
· Work with database administrators and data modelers to deploy
database related scripts to development, test and production databases.
· Develop, modify and review SQL scripts, ETL jobs and stored
procedures to validate and verify data.
· Develop, modify and review SQL scripts, ETL jobs and stored
procedures to process data.
· Develop, modify, and review scripts, ETL jobs and stored
procedures in support of reports and application.
· Review database related code and work with database
administrators to optimize and tune SQL performance.
· Develop and modify business rules based on data standard changes
for each year’s collection.
· Work with testers and developers to review and validate test
results.
· Work with users to develop User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases and
work with users to perform UAT.
· Other duties as assigned.
*Required Skills:*
· Demonstrated proficiency in data model design, data dictionary,
data flow and data process design for relational databases and data
warehouses.*(need 7+ yrs exp)*
· In-depth experience with relational database and data warehouse
development.* (need 7+ yrs exp) *
· Expert in writing SQL, stored procedure, functions, packages and
ETL job for large scale database projects.* (need 7+ yrs exp) *
· Strong analytical, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills in
data related projects.* (need 7+ yrs exp)*
· Hands-on experience with SQL performance tuning.* (need 7+ yrs
exp) *
· Must be able to demonstrate he/she possess solid oral and written
communication skills
· Ability to show initiative, good analytical skills.
· Experience with education related applications and education data
analysis.* (need 7+ yrs exp) *
· Experience in working with XML. *(need 2+ yrs exp) *
· Must have a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or
an Information System related field from an accredited institution.
