Position: QA Engineer Location: Austin, TX Duration: 12 months Contract Senior: Skills equivalent to 6-10 years in comparable QA position. Test Certification is preferred. This position will require an individual who is self-motivated and needs little supervision. The individual will provide test support for multiple projects interfacing with the Front End, Back office and External Systems. The primary platform being supported will be the Web Platform. The candidate will also have opportunities to support testing of Back office and External Systems. This individual must excel at executing tasks on concurrent projects and be comfortable with designing tests in projects with varying levels of documentation and be comfortable with terminology and artifacts associated to iterative development. Experience testing Retirement Recordkeeping Systems or financial securities is a big plus. Knowledge of 4GL/Informix is highly coveted. Experience in test automation is preferred, preferably with QTP or equivalent toolset. Experience testing .NET platforms is also desired, particularly in the areas of Web services and Mobile technologies. The candidate must have solid experience in Web Testing and be knowledgeable about the particular vulnerabilities with Websites and Browser compatibility. The candidate should also be comfortable with command line procedure in UNIX. Good command of SQL is a necessity; being able to write queries from scratch including subselects and joins. The candidate should also have good command of DB relational concepts including referential integrity, triggers, views and stored procedures. Bachelor's in Computer/Information Science (or equivalent). 6+ years of Software Quality Assurance on highly integrated applications.
