Location - FL Rate - Open Duration - 6 months Required Skills/# of Years: 3 YEARS • Main focus on • BA skills • • UML skills • • Higher education experience • • Have a web or portal background. • • Looking for 1 or 2 of the contractors to have PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and/or 508 Compliance. • HUGE PLUS - Having SOA project experience would be something else to look for in a BA. • • PROJECT RELATED COMPETENCIES • Analysis and Solution Definition • Work with internal and/or external customers to review, analyze and evaluate business systems. • Define software requirements to meet the needs of our clients and their constituents. • Coordinate Requirements Gathering and Analysis sessions • Document Requirements, prepare use cases, assist with design decisions, produce process flows, and document functional specifications. • Assists in the collection and consolidation of required information and data. • Provided evaluation and proposed solution documents to assist other team members with solution • Technical Recommendation and Testing • Provide User Acceptance Testing activities to ensure high-quality software deliverables • Provides recommendations for test plans • Reviews and provides feedback for all test results. • Retests as necessary. • Project Execution • Understands project plans and is able to clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines. • Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback. • Adheres to SDLC. • Accurately employs our methodology and documentation tools. • Proactively carries out project support /administrative functions. • Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans and manages time effectively • CORE COMPETENCIES • Communication • Listens to others and accepts input from team members. • Clearly articulate ideas and thoughts verbally. • Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective and professional. • Excellent written and verbal communication is required to communicate with internal and external customers at various organizational levels. • Ability to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and probe to expose essential requirements information • Technical Understanding and Qualifications • Understands basic Internet and client/server architectures. • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. • Knowledge of database concepts and Relational Database Systems (Microsoft SQL Server, Access, or Oracle) • Bachelor Degree, preferably in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting or related. • Higher Education industry experience – working across different functional areas of a school. • Desired Skills: • Enterprise Arch would be a plus. • • Day to Day Responsibilities: Leadership • Displays a positive 'Can do' attitude. • Demonstrates flexibility in day-to-day work. • Sets high standards of performance for oneself.
