Position : Java Developer
Location : NY
Duration : 6 months
Job Description:
We are hiring a JAVA Application Developer - Lead. This developer must
possess strong technical skills, with experience developing in high
transaction rate e-commerce platforms. He/She is expected to design,
develop, unit-test, and support business applications. This position
reports to the Manager, Application Development.
Qualifications:
* At least 8-10 years of experience in architecting, developing
and building web-based applications
* Extensive knowledge of Java and building enterprise applications
with Java 1.5 or later
* Expert knowledge of Application Servers like JBoss and Weblogic
* Expert knowledge in tuning application server performance
* Expert knowledge of JSP, Servlets, Custom Tags, JDBC, XML/XSL,
EJB, JMS, JTA and JUnit
* Advanced knowledge of BEA Weblogic application servers
* Strong knowledge on J2EE design patterns
* Expert knowledge of J2EE frameworks like GWT, YUI, Spring,
Spring MVC, Spring DAO, Axis2 1.5 or later
* Working knowledge of Hibernate
* Working knowledge of Eclipse IDE and Subversion
* Working knowledge of SAP Integration using JCO
* Working knowledge of software development methodologies i.e.
Scrum, Agile and Traditional Waterfall
* Knowledge and experience in Object Oriented Design and UML
diagrams is desirable
* Strong experience in E-Commerce / Logistics / ERP Integration
and high transaction-processing environments
* Experience in Mobile development platform like Andriod, Iphone
desirable
* Expert knowledge of relational databases including Oracle 10g or
later, SQL, PL/SQL and database design
* Expert knowledge in Query optimization
* Sun Certified Programmer
* Sun Certified Architect Preferred
* Strong problem solving skills and ability to adapt existing
systems to fast-changing requirements
* Experience and willingness to do Production Support
* Comfortable working in a UNIX/Linux environment
* Proficient in writing technical documentation
* A creative mind, with the expertise to build scalable customer
solutions
* Highly self motivated and good team work
