Let me know if you have any consultants with the following skills MS Access/MATLAB Developer Dates: 3/14/2011 - 3/14/2012, Work Location: San Diego, CA 35/HR c-c all inclusive Required skills experience in months Microsoft Office 97 12 months MS Access 12 months MAT LAB v. 2010 Time Series Trading, risk management College Degree required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year experience with designing, testing, implementing & maintaining MS Access Database (tables, query, union) Minimum 1 year MATLAB programming experience, specifically using Matlab code to gather, process/parse and load large amount of data into database. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and technical training, is required. Advanced degree preferred. Experience in the energy / utility / banking / trading industry is a plus. Experience in Mid-Office / Risk Management is a plus. Uncompromising business ethics. Able to command and aptitude projects from idea development to actualization. Control focused to ensure high data integrity Responsibilities: The programmer will be taking over a time series repository project which is about 80% complete. It will be the programmer's responsibility to understand the entire project requirements and enhance the Matlab code to gather, parse / process data, perform data integrity tests and load the data into a database. The Matlab parsing code should be enhanced to allow data extrapolation and optimization. An Excel based proof of concept will be available to the programmer as a reference to write the Matlab code. Data to be processed are commodity prices, treasury yields, currencies etc. Notes from the Manager a.. This job is + 3 months with extensions. b.. The project is 80% completed - need to write calculations, manipulate data to 30 years out, run and test data. c.. Proof of concept already completed in excel, excel for internal audit. d..
