Support with a few tools including MKS Integrity Demonstrates the experience and ability to lead the development of Web-based applications, including online customer service applications that enable the Agency to deliver services online. Possesses superior oral and written communications skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables to SSA counterparts. • Leads and/or directs the efforts of specialists on project(s) across components and/or technical areas. • Provides guidance and direction across components and acts in a consulting and/or advisory capacity. • Determines the overall technical design and structure of Internet services. • Analyzes functionality, security, and integrity of Internet services. • Oversees development, testing, and troubleshooting of Internet projects, and resolves technical problems with the design and delivery of Internet services. • Provides technical expertise, support, oversight, and needs analysis for Web software development and implementation of highly specialized, leading edge technologies, methodologies, and software tools. Manages efforts to develop and code Web-based applications. • Provides technical expertise, support, oversight, and needs analysis for efforts to design Web architectures which includes the software, hardware, and communication to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. • Analyzes Internet services usage and performance statistics. • Oversees the evaluation of new Internet services and technologies. • Provides technical advice to Internet content providers. BA/BS. High school diploma plus any combination of additional years of specific experience in the proposed field of expertise and years of undergraduate-level study in a related field — together totaling 6 years. Three (32-hour) technical courses/training directly related to the proposed field of expertise may be substituted for 1 year of college or experience. Preferred degrees include but are not limited to BA/BS in: • Computer Science/Technology • Information Technology • Information Systems • Information Systems Management • Software Engineering 9 years of experience providing Web-based, Internet, intranet, etc., technology support for one or more programs, projects, or TOs including: • Web architecture development, engineering, design, and software development • Technical expertise, support, oversight, and needs analysis for Web software development and implementation of highly specialized, leading-edge technologies, methodologies, and software tools General Experience Graduate Level: Years of full-time graduate-level college or university education in a field related to the proposed area of expertise may be substituted on a one-for-one basis for up to 3 years.
