Location : Milwaukee, WI Duration: 3 months Skills: Responsibilities will include reviewing several Financials related BW reports/custom BW models, etc. to determine options for improving the performance of these reports and working with our BW developers to implement the changes to improve performance. Goal of the assignment will be to reduce the time to run these reports significantly. The assignment will involve reviewing our current BW data model, BEX queries, and BEX Web Application Designer templates, or other components of BW reporting to determine options for improving performance. Our implementation includes custom data sources that bring data in from non-SAP systems and brings it together with SAP delivered cubes into a custom multiprovider. There are several hierarchies implemented as part of our custom solution. We would like to identify performance improvement opportunities without the use of BW Accelerator (or HANA) first before evaluating those alternatives. Broadcasting to fill OLAP Cache has already been completed. Assignment will require a very high proficiency and significant experience (2 years) in improving performance of BW reports (BEX queries, Web Application Designer, BEX workbooks and BW model design) in BW 7.x with Office 2003. Experience in working with our current versions of the software (BW and portal 7.01) is required.
