*Infrastructure Architect (WebSphere) - Fort Worth, Texas* Length: Long-Term Contract Max Pay Rate: $55 an hour (C2C) US CITIZENS and GREEN CARD HOLDERS would be preferred. Infrastructure/Systems Architect resource capable of supporting WebSphere & WebLogic Shared Service implementations. The primary skills needed are J2EE Architecture, WebSphere Application Server, HTTP Server, Solaris and RedHat Linux, and J2EE Development Experience. The role is a long-term contract position, so a long-term commitment is required. Here are the complete job details: The Right Candidate will have: *Architect-level J2EE experience with strong Infrastructure/Systems Architectual experience. *Heavy background in Websphere Application Server and IBM HTTP server (Middleware) *Solid understanding of Unix environment (Solaris/Linux RHEL) and technology *Solid understanding of SAN/NAS/Load Balancer *Good understanding .NET technologies *Basic understanding of networking and firewalls Other infrastructure related knowledge: *Understanding of various hardware platforms is required. *Experience in iPlanet and IBM HTTP Server (Apache) is required. *Prior knowledge of Proxy Plug-in based configuration for both iPlanet and IBM HTTP server is desired. *Knowledge of any Hardware based load balancer is a must. *Understanding of enterprise networking is desired. *Prior experience of development and n-tier architecture would be very helpful. Leadership requirements: * Must be a strategic and systematic thinker with the ability to dive into the details as required. * Experience with full software development life cycle (SDLC). * Broad knowledge of the latest application development and integration architectures and platforms (J2EE, .NET, EAI, SOA etc.) with deep understanding of J2EE. * Strong communication skills. * Establish recommendations and guidelines for the development, test, operations and application support environments. * Provide information needed to assess the risk of production deployment of a business critical application: installation and configuration readiness, performance and scalability evaluation, stability and durability evaluation, and best practices procedures. * Assess the processes that will be used to operate, support and maintain the Enterprise implementation(s).
