Knowledge of database replication, log shipping, data mirroring . Knowledge and experience of converting from DTS to SSIS .. Knowledge and experience using Sybase PowerDesigner to manage database models . Perl scripting to maintain infrastructure ! scripts . Ability to problem solve database issues while on-call 24x7 . Knowledge of performance data collection, performance monitoring and performance improvement. . Knowledge of backups and recovery, Security Administration, Database and Server Performance Monitoring and Tuning, and Capacity Planning. . Effective communication, independent worker, and leadership skills are key.
