MS SQL/Server Database Administrator Duration: 1 year Location: Philadelphia, PA DB developer experience to oversee the activities related to their Custody department's SQLServer 2000 and 2005 infrastructure. Qualified candidates will have at least 6 years of current, relevant DBA expertise in most, if not all, of the following: . Design and document database architecture/Data Modeling. . Design Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence platform . Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions . Set up data sharing and disk partitioning . Develop database utilities and automated reporting . Create shell scripts for task automation . Create, test and execute data management languages . Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements . Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency . Monitor systems and platforms for availability. . Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover . Restore and recover corrupted databases . Install and test upgrades and patches . Implement security and encryption . Provide 24/7 support for critical situations and maintenance PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: . Act as primary DB support resource for the GIS Custody group overseeing day-to-day operations and maintenance for data warehouse and application processing databases in a Windows/SQL Server environment. . Perform required DB maintenance and archiving functions for Custody data from several applications . Help identify and correct data issues working with developers and corporate DBA staff . Serve as an SSRS subject matter expert . Perform change/access management functions related to database applications . As required, create small scripts and/or programs for in-house processes. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: . Extensive experience with MS\ SQL Server 2000 and MS\SQL Server 2005 . In-depth knowledge and experience coding/debugging DTS and SSIS packages . Experience creating and managing SSRS reports . Extensive experience setting up and administering backup strategies PREFERRED SKILLS: . Strong knowledge of with Netik Interchange/Interview product sets . Strong knowledge of Crystal Reporting/Business Objects . Programming experience in .net environments OTHER IDEAL SOFT/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS: . Good verbal and written communications skills . Good follow up skills .
