Project Description: eCAP deploys web analytic projects associated with the
att.com property. The primary responsibility of the team is to develop &
sustain our eDM datamart that is heavily used to track various data
including clickstream, order, fulfillment and subscriber metrics for
att.com.
Job Description: The att.com eCommerce organization supports web sales &
service across AT&T products and is an area of strategic focus for AT&T. Our
eCommerce Analytics Platforms team develops a set of reporting & analysis
tools that support the business teams with leading edge business
intelligence capabilities. The primary responsibility of the team is to
develop & sustain our eDM datamart that is heavily used to track various
data including clickstream, order, fulfillment and subscriber metrics for
att.com. The group uses SAP Business Objects (BO) XI R3. The successful
candidate will play a critical role on the team by acting as a BO developer
and trainer. The candidate with interface with business clients and the
Analytics Platforms technical team.
Functions include:
* Work with business users to determine improved Business Objects reporting
solutions, and assist users in building reports.
* Work with BO team to accomplish BO administrative tasks, including
software installation, user setup, configuration, etc.
* Develop and deliver training programs for users, in Business Objects
report creation and Xcelcius dashboard creation.
* Maintain complex BO universes using Designer.
* Provide on-call support 24-7 approximately one week per month. NPW will be
paid for time worked if called upon during that week.
* Monitor and respond to user requests for assistance of various kinds.
* Create trouble tickets and follow up with ETL support as appropriate.
* Work with users, Project Managers, and ETL developers to design and
implement new subject areas in the appropriate BO universe.
Background Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years Business Objects experience, including at least 2 years
Webi, 2 years Designer and 1 year Xcelcisus
* Minimum 3 years data warehousing experience including data modeling, ETL
practices and querying RDBMS using sql
* Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts, technologies, and best
business practices. This includes data modeling, data sourcing, data
transformation, data loading, data cleansing, data integrity checking and
end-user tools.
* Must have relevant reporting/analysis experience in the Sales, Marketing
or Finance fields.
* Expertise with SQL required (Ansi-92 sql preferred) including query tools
such as Toad or Queryman.
* Must have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a
high-pressure environment.
* Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word,
Outlook and Excel
* Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with developers,
managers, functional users, and executives
* Must be self-motivated and strong desire to learn and excel
* Must have bachelors degree or higher in computer science or related
discipline.
* Previous industry experience in eCommerce highly desired while industry
experience in Cellular/Wireless nice to have
