Need a talented Scrum Master and passionate Agilist in the New York City, with at least 4 to 5 years general software development experience including 2 to 3 years’ experience with Scrum. Responsibilities * Serving one or more Teams in an Agile/Scrum software development environment, using appropriate techniques and tools, and empowering the Team to self-organize * Facilitating Sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, Product Demos, and Team Retrospectives * Identifying and removing impediments and cross-team dependencies * Preventing distractions interfering with the Team's ability to deliver the Sprint goal * Organizing and facilitating daily stand-up meetings, Product reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, Sprint and Release planning, other meetings as needed * Improving transparency and maximizing effectiveness, using appropriate tools such as burn down and burn up charts, wikis, JIRA, and any appropriate information radiators, and proactive reporting of risks, blockers, and team progress * Promoting continuous improvement of Agile practices and principles, and coaching Team members on the effective use of Scrum and Agile * Working with Product Owners to maintain the backlog and update team status in JIRA, and helping them understand and develop the vision, objectives, and ROI of proposed work Experience * A thorough understanding of Scrum and Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures, and a commitment to mentoring, coaching, and evangelizing Scrum * At least 1 to 3 years of experience serving as a ScrumMaster, preferably for more than 1 team * A demonstrable understanding of Agile development and process concepts, practices, and procedures and knowledge of the SDLC, QA and test methodologies and processes * Experience with one or more products through all phases of the SDLC * A CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) certificate.
