Skills and Experience:

 

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred, such as Computer
Science.  Minimum 3-5 years of Release Management, Project Management,
Change Management, or IT Operations experience.

. Working knowledge of ITIL principles, procedures, and techniques is
beneficial

. Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle

. Must possess strong analytical skills and ability to effectively work with
employees at all levels of the organization

. Basic knowledge of home improvement retail and related services technology
and principles or similar retail discipline is desired

. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to meet time
demands without compromising quality

. Remedy experience (current Remedy 7.x preferred) is considered a plus

. Demonstrated skills in working with MS Office Suite (SharePoint, Outlook,
Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as
being detail oriented with a high level of organ skills

. "Can do" attitude with strong work ethic to get the job done, regardless
of circumstances

 

 

Responsibilities:

. Create and update release management documentation and procedures
accordingly based on the particular service/platform and post mortem/lessons
learned information

. Receive and provide consultation services as necessary from multiple
groups - including Program Management, all areas of IT Operations, IT and
Business area management

. Function as a liaison between IT groups, communicate, and manage
expectations during the planning, engineering, and rollout of new Releases

. Collaborate as needed for the program/project to develop and maintain a
work plan of all IT Operational Readiness activities needed to launch the
program/release and sustain it once it's live in production

. Facilitate the gathering of projected costs (including possible increases
to headcount) to support release post go-live

. Attend key program meetings and identify, document, and escalate critical
issues that may impact IT Operations

. Prepare and publish activity and progress reports for the leadership and
business partners

. Create Release Announcement Communications that are relevant and
informative regarding the impact of planned changes and releases 

. Single point of contact for programs in their interactions with IT
Operations

. Actively participate in Release Management group meetings/discussions

. Self starter that requires minimal guidance once scope and deliverables
are outlined

. Create and update Master Release Calendar

. Recommend business problem solutions that will improve customer service,
reduce cost, or provide for a competitive advantage

. Identify new tools/technologies and possible areas for automation that
will make the release process more efficient, reliable, and cost effective
