The scope of work is to provide computer technical support to the State
Corporation Commission.

Fundamental requirements:

CompTIA A+ certification within the last 5 years.

4 or more years of recent experience in a full-time Help Desk / Technical
Support position.

Superior communication skills; both written and verbal.

Thorough knowledge of and experience with Windows XP and Windows 7 operating
systems and Microsoft desktop software products, including Office
Professional 2007.

Ability to provide superior, professional, courteous support to end-users
via telephone and in person.

Ability to independently trouble-shoot and correct complex PC issues,
including issues with the registry, drivers and malware.

Extensive experience correcting Windows operating system issues and
installing Windows operating systems.

2 or more years experience entering information and working with a
trouble-ticket, issue tracking system.



*Description*:

Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware and
computer peripherals.

Document, maintain, upgrade and replace desktop hardware and software
systems.

Support and maintain user account information including rights, security and
systems groups.

Provide hands-on and telephone support of personal computers and laptops.

Locate, read, comprehend and follow instructions in online technical service
manuals, knowledge bases and publications.

Diagnose and solve PC software and hardware issues, including issues with
malware.

Prioritize and schedule own workload.

Provide accurate and helpful answers, both written and verbal, to end-users
in a professional, courteous and timely manner.

Install and configure software, such as operating systems, configuration
management tools, application and development tools, testing tools,
compilers, and code editors.

Manage and report time spent on all work activities.
