*Role : C# Visual Studio with NUnit * Location: Nevada Length: 4 months Scope of Work: *• BACKGROUND* o We are developing an internal software Framework to build a platform that all of our project-teams use for building their applications. This ensures consistent architectures and designs, enables reuse, and allows for application integration between our projects. It also allows developers to move around projects and have a very small learning curve as each application’s architecture is the same. o We have successfully used our platform on a couple of smaller projects as a proof-of-concept and are now looking to use it on our flagship product System 1. Through our architecture and design discussions we have identified gaps in our current Framework and we need engineers ASAP to help fill those gaps to ensure that the development experience is smooth for the System 1 product team and they do not have to spend their time adding to the platform. o We need developers to help refactor/add code in the following areas of our Framework. o WCF-based SQLite configuration database server o Client-side CRUD (Create, Retrieve, Update, Delete) services for accessing our Configuration Data, Historical Data, and Events Data. o Changes to our core data-modeling structures. *• QUALIFICATIONS:* o B.S. in Software Engineering or related technical degree. o Minimum 3 years’ experience software development with C#. o Desired 2+ years’ experience software development with C++. o Minimum 3 years’ experience using Microsoft Visual Studio development tools. o Minimum 3 years’ experience writing automated unit tests for their own code using either NUnit or MSTest. o Excellent communication skills. o Able to participate on a global project team. *• RESPONSIBILITIES:* o Eliminate all of our current build warnings and turn on treating warnings as Errors on every project including test projects. This will help get them familiar with the tools and codebase. o Be embedded into our local Framework team on an Agile/Scrum team working in 2-week sprints. o Be able to engineer code using a Test-Driven Development approach. o Be able to break down their assignments into small workable chunks to support continuous integration and check-in daily. o Be able to document their designs as well as provide adequate API documentation and tutorials.
