At least 7+ Years of hands on experience. Must have in depth working knowledge of Solaris version 10. The target servers are M5000s, same or like platform experience very desirable. Expertise with Solaris container/zone is required. Understanding of networking is required. Expertise of installing, configuring and maintaining of Sun/Solaris HW required. Knowledge of Jump/Kick start server along with network installation a must. Shell scripting knowledge as a Solaris administrator is required. Will implement Solaris Packages and RPM maintenance and participate in patch management. Responsibilities include troubleshooting servers and OS problems. Knowledge of DTrace is required. Installation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting of Solaris Clustering very desirable. Additional storage Admin skills a strong plus. Additional Linux or AIX Admin skills a strong plus Must have strong analytical, research, and problem solving skills. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Must be able to multitask and coordinate several projects simultaneously. Must work well under pressure and with minimal supervision. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lead, motivate, and execute. Must be able to address escalation items and conflicts in a timely, motivational and productive manner. Must be able to articulate ideas and motivate team to turn those ideas into reality. Must be able to produce documentation for processes and procedures.
