Job Title: Web Services Architect Project Location: : North Carolina Duration: : 6+ months Interview Type: (Telephonic ) Rate: $50/hr on c2c Job Description : The Web Services Architect is responsible for designing and development of our new enterprise software systems in C#.NET and ASP.NET. Working in a team environment you will perform software design programming of mission critical enterprise software systems to be built using Microsoft .NET technologies. Candidates must have demonstrated a desire to work in a cooperative team environment and a proven track record of Use Case modeling, requirements elicitation, and developing end user and technical design documentation. Responsibilities include taking ownership in resolving complex software issues, design efficient software processes with a high level of reusability, effectively prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: . Design, implement, document, unit test, integration test, code review, and deliver high quality solutions in accordance with the requirements. Specific activities include: . Develop outbound web services that integrate existing product with 3rd part applications . Develop inbound ETL that consumes XML data transfers, analyzes data against business rules, and imports into back-end application . Partner with other team members to define client business requirements and produce functional and nonfunctional requirements specifications and application design. . Exhibit a solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals including the appropriate phases of the software life cycle. . Proposes high level solutions to technical problems . Defines XML schema for B2B payload . Hashes out interpretation issues with subject matter experts and 3rd party vendor . Works with DBAs to develop staging schema . Works with DBA to develop inbound data validation/import system . Monitors data quality and works with 3rd party vendor on issues Technical requirements/ Qualifications: . Demonstrated experience in component and web services development using Visual Studio.NET (i.e. .NET Framework 2.0 and higher, C#, ASP.NET, XML) . . Database programming experience in tSQL including stored procedures, user defined functions . Experience integrating with 3rd part financial systems such as Paypal a plus . Experience with SaaS implementation services a plus . Excellent written and oral communication skills and work ethic, . Commitment to accomplishing goals within the defined timelines and meet project schedule deadlines. . Ability to work with others in a team environment and share technical capabilities within the organization . Ability to take direction as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team on assigned tasks . Proficiency in requirements definition with a sound technical background and the ability to quickly adapt to changing technology. Education / Experience . Bachelor's or Associates degree . 8+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. . 8+ years experience in elicitation of requirements through the use of JAD sessions, interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints. . 5 years of experience with UML/XML, Use Case modeling tools and analysis. Travel No travel required LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as software specifications, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide array of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal communication and symbolism in its most difficult phase.
