This opportunity may become permanent for the right candidate. Required: -7+ years experience as a SQL DBA -5+ years experience in a Data Warehousing environment -Must be strong with Performance tuning The primary function for the DBA with Data Warehouse experience is to provide overall data warehouse/business intelligence design direction that supports the development and implementation of the Enterprise data warehouse and associated data marts. This position requires direct and active involvement in ETL design, business intelligence application design, and code level development processes. The data warehouse architect will be required, based on the assignment, to write and test code to support prototypes, code reviews, and performance efforts within the BI&A arena. The data warehouse architect will deliver design documents which can be shared across the business, application development and quality assurance organizations. The individual must be able to effectively communicate with business representatives, in their terminology, using both verbal and written skill sets. This position requires a 'hands on' approach which will utilize both a detailed code level expertise and a broad perspective on application solutions in the BI&A space in order to provide business intelligence functionality to the business.
